QR & GPS scavenger hunts

Hand your AI assistant a place.
Get back a quest.

Connect Eggtrail to the assistant you already use. Describe the place and the players; it writes the cards — the monsters, the merchant, the boss — and hands you QR codes to print, or pins your stops on a map.

Your first 5 players are free, no card. Then $1 a player. Start free with a ready-made story; write your own at $1 a card, art included.

  • About 30 minutes to write
  • Playtested first
  • No app for players
A game master and two adventurers test a trail map with dragon, soldier and fox pieces at a forest camp.

One conversation, from first idea to first team.

  1. You Our old town was the set for a heist film. Build a GPS trail through the filming spots: adults, up to twenty teams, two hours on foot.
  2. Assistant Drafted The Old Town Job: fourteen cards. The diner sells the getaway map. The bank steps are the boss, locked until a team holds the map and the vault key.
  3. You Make the bridge a trap. And ask for the year carved over the clock tower door. It is 1887.
  4. Assistant Done. The playtest passes: every card can be reached, and the bank opens with the map and the key. Send me the coordinates of each stop and I will pin them.
  5. You Here they are, one per stop.
  6. Assistant Pinned every stop. Your trail link is ready.

    Connect your assistant

Sign up and confirm your email. In your assistant's settings, open Connectors (some call it Integrations), add a custom connector and paste this link. Approve the sign-in once. No key, no config file.

  2. 02

    Describe the place

The stops, the story, how many teams — each team is one player on the bill. Your assistant asks for what is missing, starting with the players' age.

  3. 03

Read it back, then play it

Every card is on screen before anything prints — rename the boss, cut a stop. Then your assistant playtests it: every card reachable, every lock opens, every question has one right answer. It proves the rules, not the fun.

  4. 04

    Place it and start

Print and hide the codes, or send your assistant each stop's coordinates and it pins them. Walk the route, then start.

Build a trail for free

Your first 5 players are free, no card. Then $1 a player.

You place the stops. The engine runs the rules.

  • Every fight is a duel: tap when the pointer crosses the gap.

  • A boss stays locked until a team holds the cards it names.

  • A merchant sells gear for coins found on the way.

Want it plainer? Basic mode is scan, collect, score — the same codes, no fights.

The Stone Sentinel's monster card: its vitality, attack and defense, the points and coins a win pays, and the Leaf of Sun it guards.
A monster card from another trail, on a player's phone: its stats, what a win pays, and the card it guards.

Two ways to find the treasure.

Same cards. Same score. Either way, every stop needs internet.

Hide a code.

Print the sheet and hide the codes — a shelf, a plaque, a post. A phone's own camera opens the card.

Indoors or out. Keep paper codes dry.

Leave no label.

Pin the stops on a map and share the link. Players walk to a stop, check their location and play its card. Nothing to print, nothing to replace after rain.

Needs location permission and a usable outdoor position. Costs nothing extra.

Every word, picture and sound is yours.

A card of your own story is $1 (1 Gold Egg), art included. Gold Eggs come in packs, paid once; there is no subscription.

  • The words

Every line on every card. Your assistant drafts; you rewrite any of it, even while the trail runs.

  • The pictures

Upload your own photos, or pick one art style and have each card drawn.

  • The sound

Attach a clip you recorded to any card — a guide, a director, the bells at noon.

What storytellers ask

No. You describe, your assistant calls Eggtrail's tools, and the game supplies the rules. Nothing to install, for you or for your players.

Any assistant that lets you add a custom connector: look in its settings for Connectors or Integrations. The connector speaks MCP, the open standard assistants use to call tools. No such setting? Write the story yourself in the browser, card by card, at the same price. Or start with a ready-made story: about 10 minutes to pick, print and cut.

Yes. A card is paid once, when it joins your story. Build a new trail from the same story — next season, or in another town with new stops — and you pay only for its players.

Bring the place. The engine brings the boss.

Start free with a ready-made story. Or have your assistant write your own — $1 a card, art included.
