Tumble down the rabbit-hole into the Wonderland of the original 1865 book — where the Hatter was never called mad, the best riddle has no answer, and the Queen of Hearts is undone by a slice of cake. Keep your wits about you; they will be tested.

The cards
- Down the Rabbit-Hole A white rabbit with pink eyes checks its waistcoat-watch, mutters 'Oh dear! I shall be too late!' and vanishes down a hole. After it! Everyone: fall in slow motion — past cupboards, past bookshelves, past a jar labelled ORANGE MARMALADE — until you land, thump-thump, on a heap of dry leaves.
- The Golden Key A tiny golden key on a glass table, and a door barely bigger than your shoe. Mime the unlocking — click! — and peek through: the loveliest garden you ever saw, and no way to fit into it. Keep the key. You will shrink to the occasion.
- The DRINK ME Bottle A little bottle with a paper label: DRINK ME. It is not marked poison, so down it goes — tasting of cherry-tart, custard, pineapple, roast turkey, toffee and hot buttered toast all at once. Now shrink: crouch down, down, dowwwn to your very smallest.
- The EAT ME Cake A cake in a glass box, spelled out in currants: EAT ME. One bite and — up! Stretch to your very tallest, tip-toes and all, until your head is practically in the treetops. Now say it, properly amazed: 'Curiouser and curiouser!'
- The Pool of Tears Careful — the floor is flooded, and the flood is tears (a giant's, from earlier; yours, technically). Swim! Big strokes, all the way across, and absolutely no crying about it, or the pool wins twice.
- The Caucus-Race Something happens here. The score stays where it is.
- Advice from a Caterpillar A quiz. Answer right and the card pays.
- The Cheshire Cat A grin appears in the tree. Then eyes. Then, reluctantly, the rest of a cat. Grin your widest grin back — hold it — and he agrees to point you somewhere, noting that it hardly matters which way, since we're all mad here. He joins you. Mostly.
- The Mad Tea-Party A long table set for dozens, occupied by three: the Hatter, the March Hare, and a Dormouse asleep between them. 'No room! No room!' they cry. Sit down anyway. Here it is always six o'clock, always tea-time — so rest as long as you like. No time will pass. It can't.
- The Hatter's Riddle A quiz. Answer right and the card pays.
- Painting the Roses Red Something happens here. The score stays where it is.
- A Live Flamingo Croquet is announced, and your mallet is handed over: one live flamingo. It will not hold still. Tuck it under your arm, wait for the exact moment its head is straight — and swing! Timing is everything. The flamingo has opinions.
- The Queen of Hearts 'OFF WITH THEIR HEADS!' The Queen of Hearts turns crimson and points straight at you. Stand your ground: you have shrunk, you have grown, you are holding a flamingo, and you know the secret. Grow tall NOW, look down at the whole court, and declare: 'You're nothing but a pack of cards!' Then everybody flutter slowly to the ground, flat as jokers.
- The Riverbank Something happens here. The score stays where it is.
- One Side of the Mushroom The Caterpillar's parting gift: one side makes you taller, the other shorter — and he crawled away without saying which is which. Nibble carefully (mime it!), one crumb at a time, and keep both halves for emergencies.
- The Duchess's Kitchen The Duchess's kitchen is a solid fog of pepper — the cook throws in more by the handful. Everybody sneeze: three enormous ACHOOs, then out, out, before the frying pans start flying.
- A Card Soldier A soldier of the deck blocks the path, spear level, corners crisp. He is, on close inspection, quite flat. One good gust of a battle-cry — HA! — and settle it; when he goes down, he flutters.
- The White Rabbit There he goes again — waistcoat, watch, ears flat back: 'Oh my fur and whiskers! I'm late!' Chase him down and check the time together, very seriously. He is always late. It is never clear for what.
- The Tart Trial A quiz. Answer right and the card pays.
