The cards
- The Last Ember Shrine Swear the Emberbound Oath here. Every journey down begins at the last fire still lit in Vhalen.
- Cinderfang, the Oathblade Time your strike to draw the blade from the ash. Grants +3 attack.
- Gravewarden's Maul Time your strike to lift it. Grants +2 attack, +1 defense. Only the Maul can shatter the storm-vault seal.
- Charred Map of the Undervault A burned map of the passages below the throne. Reveals the way to the Forge Sigil.

- The Pale Warden The thing the king bargained with. Only the Oathblade can bite it — it bars the throne stair to any hand that lacks one.
- Cinder Sigil of the Forge One third of the crownfire, sealed in the drowned forge. The Charred Map is the only record of the way.
- Cinder Sigil of the Deep One third of the crownfire, locked in the Deep vault. Opens only to the Wardkey of Sorrows.
- Cinder Sigil of the Storm One third of the crownfire, behind a seal of storm-fused glass. Only the Gravewarden's Maul can break it.
- The Hollow King, Alderic the Undying The king who traded the flame for a life without end. Bring all three Cinder Sigils and the Oathblade to face him and relight the Ember Crown.
- Greta Coinblade A sellsword loitering by the market shelf. Buy her contract and she joins you: +2 attack.
- The Lamplighter's Rest Maerin's lamp-lit alcove on the Undervault stair. Rest here to recover your vitality before descending further.
- Vashti of the Nine Coins A caravan trader camped at the shrine, selling to pilgrims heading down. She has never once gone down herself.
- Pitchpine Torch Burns wet, burns long, burns when the Deepdark leans close. Grants +1 defense.
