Zoos, theme parks and gardens

Hide a quest in the park.
The otters are in on it.

A question by the otter pool. Treasure at the treetop walk. Families scan a printed code, or walk to a GPS stop, and the card opens on their phone.

Your first 5 players are free, no card. Then $1 a player. A player is one phone — a family of four sharing it is $1.

A family scans a fantasy trail marker with a phone while a child finds the next marker in the forest.

What opens on a family's phone

Screens from two trails. Yours carries the names of your own paths.

The Stone Sentinel's monster card: its vitality, attack and defense, the points and coins a win pays, and the Leaf of Sun it guards.
A monster card: win the Stone Sentinel's duel to unlock the Leaf of Sun.
A GPS trail's map: the team panel, a line saying the phone has found its location, and card pins on a street map.
Walk to a pin. Boss defeated, quest complete.

Two ways to find the treasure.

Same cards. Same score. Either way, every stop needs internet.

Hide a code.

Print the sheet and hide the codes — a plaque, a bench, a fence post. A phone's own camera opens the card.

Indoors or out. Keep paper codes dry.

Leave no label.

Pin the stops on a map and share the link. Players walk to a stop, check their location and play its card. Nothing to print, nothing to replace after rain.

Needs location permission and a usable outdoor position. Costs nothing extra.

Written around your park.

Each card you write is $1, art included.

  1. Tell the AI assistant you already use about the otter pool, the log flume queue, the third gate. A draft takes about 30 minutes; you approve every card.

  2. Print and hide the codes, or pin the GPS stops. Walk the route before you start.

  3. A family reaches a stop and a card opens — a question about the sign in front of them, a treasure, or the boss at the third gate, locked until they find the key at the otter pool.

No time to write? Pick a ready-made story — for a QR trail, about 10 minutes to pick, print and cut.

Build a trail for free

Built for a season, not a Saturday.

  • Hide the answers in your own signage, and the trail makes families read the plaques.
  • Set the leaderboard to clear each night: tomorrow's families find every card again and start at zero.
  • On a QR trail, the staff page shows which code went quiet — check one post, not the whole route.

Example: the staff page for a QR trail.

What parks and zoos ask

Your first 5 players are free, no card. Then $1 a player. A player is one phone — a family of any size. You pay for the families you expect each time the leaderboard starts fresh: clear it nightly, and a day of 200 families is $200 (200 Gold Eggs, bought in packs). Extra families join at the same rate while your Gold Eggs last, unless you set a cap. A story written around your park adds $1 a card, art included.

Then its card won't open — every stop needs internet. Walk the route with a phone before families do, and move any stop that won't load.

Yes. Trails run in English, Spanish or German. Write the story in one and translate it into the others.

The otters are waiting.

Bought in Gold Egg packs as you need them — never a subscription.
