Kids scanning an Eggtrail QR code on a phone at a party
β€œIt was so easy to set up, and the kids had so much fun. I highly recommend this for any party β€” especially if you want an activity that keeps kids occupied and happy.”

What the afternoon actually looks like

Three parts. You only work during the first one.

10 min
Before they arrive

Print and hide

Pick an adventure and every code is generated for you. Print at home, cut, tape them up. Black and white scans exactly the same.

45 min
The party

They hunt, you sit down

Kids scan codes to collect gear, dodge traps, trade with a merchant, and work their way toward the boss.

5 min
The finish

Crown a champion

The leaderboard settles it. There is a winner, a final score, and photographic evidence.

What they see when they scan

Every code opens a card. A monster with real stats, gear worth coins, or a merchant willing to haggle. It is a game, not a checklist.

What you get

One PDF, printed at home. That is the entire setup.

  • A printable sheet of QR codes β€” one per treasure
  • A hiding plan, so you are not inventing spots at 9pm
  • A live leaderboard that updates as they scan
  • A boss finale, so the hunt ends instead of fizzling out
  • A countdown you set, so the game finishes when the cake comes out

Pick an adventure

Each one brings its own monsters, treasure and boss fight.

Unicorns? Soccer ninjas? Something that matches the cake? Build your own adventure in a few minutes.

One rule: no copyrighted characters. The mouse has lawyers.

What it costs

  • Every ready-made adventure, no premium tier
  • The printable QR sheet and the hiding plan
  • Live leaderboard and the champion screen
  • Build as many hunts as you like

Nothing to enter up front. Build the hunt, print it, play it.

Build Your Hunt

The questions every parent asks

Answered before you spend anything.

Nothing for a party of nine kids or fewer. Ten or more, it is a dollar a kid β€” a twelve-kid party is twelve dollars, and you only pay when the hunt is built and you are ready to print.

One per treasure in your adventure. Every theme shows its exact count before you pick it, and most fit on two or three sheets of paper.

No. Black and white scans exactly the same. Color is only prettier.

The phone needs a connection β€” home wifi or mobile data both work. A basement with no signal is the one place it struggles.

One per team. Two or three phones covers a normal party, and teams argue less than you would expect.

Five and up. Younger kids play in a team with someone who can read; eight and up run the whole thing themselves.

You set the clock. Most parties run thirty to sixty minutes, and the countdown ends it cleanly instead of trailing off.

Hide the codes indoors. Hallways, under chairs, behind the cereal. A living room works as well as a park.

Never. They type a team name and start playing. No email, no password, nothing to download.

Built for handing a phone to someone else's kid

  • No accounts for players β€” a team name is the entire sign-up
  • No email, phone number or photo is ever collected from a child
  • No chat between players, and no ads anywhere in the game
  • It runs in the browser, so nothing is installed on anyone's phone
